Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Humane Society of Sumter County! Our volunteers are the heart and soul of our organization, helping to care for animals, assist with adoptions, maintain our facilities, and support events.
By volunteering, you’ll be directly contributing to the well-being of animals in need, helping them find their forever homes, and ensuring they receive the care and love they deserve.
How to Apply
To join our volunteer team, please fill out the application form. We’ll ask for some basic information, such as your name, contact details, and availability. You’ll also be asked about your preferences for working with dogs, cats, or both, and when you’re ready to start volunteering.
Once we receive your application, our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch with you to schedule an orientation session. During orientation, you’ll learn more about our organization, our mission, and the various ways you can help.
