Hope Fund

You Can Help Abused & Neglected Animals

The HOPE Fund was created to assist abused and neglected animals in emergencies or with critical care needs. It is named in honor of a newborn kitten, which was witnessed being thrown from a moving vehicle and saved by caring Sumter residents.

Our HOPE Fund is for animals we acquire who have serious illness or injury where their medical costs are substantial, beyond routine veterinary needs.  Any funds exceeding a specific animal’s needs will be applied for future animals.

Your help is so valued as our HSSPCA can only operate thanks to the support of our community. Donations permit us to continue such necessary work, restoring animals in need to health and placing them in their forever homes.

Sweet little Pekingese Karen was found wandering the streets aimlessly in Northern Sumter in mid-January in terrible condition with no one ever reclaiming her. We were not sure how old she was but we suspected she was quite the senior gal. Along with suffering from a severe skin infection, Karen also had badly infected ears, chronic dry eyes and was totally hairless on her back side besides being covered in filth. She seemed to have been used as a puppy factory based on her exhausted physical condition. Lucky for Karen, she was brought to us and received much needed medical care. She regained her strength and joy of life and spent whatever time she had as a senior pooch in a loving home.

There are countless stories of animals just like Karen. Animals that need your help so please donate now.
